Bringing a wide skill set, ranging from gilding, glazing, wood graining, marbleizing, stenciling, trompe l’oiel, decorative plaster, murals and sculpture to the preservation, repair, and reproduction of original works of art and historic decorative finishes, Slade Tanner brings a high level of quality craftsmanship, as well as an eye for detail, that is second to none.
Whether interior or exterior, historic or modern, large scale or small, Slade and his team of skilled artisans and craftsmen bring a vast knowledge of traditional, old world techniques, as well as the most recent technical innovations, specific to each and every project.
We believe that history deserves to be maintained & preserved. We work hard to help preserve the historic integrity of both buildings and artwork. Creating exposure windows by removing various campaigns without destruction of the original work gives us the opportunity to view and replicate the original and/or see the historical significance of artwork. We also use reversible coatings as isolation barriers between the original art and our restorations, thereby preserving the original work without compromising its historic integrity.
Whether it is matching a wood grain or replicating marble or stonework, we have got it covered with our decorative painting services! We like to say, “We can make anything look like anything!”
Some of the common decorative painting projects we assist with are:
-Matching or replicating wood grain, marble, or stonework
-Antiquing finishes
-Glazing
-Gilding
-Metal Leaf
-Decorative or Venetian plaster
-Stencil design & application
-Textured finishes
-Floor finishing (removing scratches or damage in wood floors to prevent replacing the entire floor)
All of our work is completely customized, so the options are truly unlimited!
All the way from cathedrals to garage doors, we can make anything look beautiful!
We offer custom murals and paintings for any given space. We can create the artwork in studio and install anywhere or artwork can be created on location. We can replicate any style whether it is impressionism, realism, romanticism, or more! We are grateful for the training we received from The London City and Guilds that uses old world techniques blended with new world technology.
